Henry Herbert notes in his office-book that he has seen fit to confiscate the book of an old play licensed by Sir John Astley called 'The Martyred Soldier.' The play was called in and reallowed to the Lady Elizabeth's Men at the Cockpit but since the players have not observed Herbert's revisions, he had kept the book as well as the licence fee.
