The Lord Chamberlain, Philip, Earl of Montgomery and Pembroke, reiterates in a letter to the wardens of the Stationers' Company an earlier order against printing plays without the explicit permission of the leaders of the acting companies. He directs stationers to stop any plays already at press and seek permission from either John Lowin and Joseph Taylor of the King's Men, or Christopher Beeston of the King's and Queen's Young Company.
