Abstract

The Chamberlain's Men are newly incorporated as the King's Men, and authorised to play at 'their now usuall howse called the Globe,' and anywhere else within the realm, 'when the infection of the plague shall decrease.' This is the less commonly transcribed Signet Bill, dated 17 May 1603, authorising the patent.
