Abstract

As part of his 1619 treatise 'De Naturali, Supernaturali, Praeternaturali, et Contranaturali Microcosmi Historia,' Robert Fludd includes an illustration of a theatre, as an aid to the art of memory. The stage has a title plaque that reads "THEATRUM ORBI,' or 'Globe Theatre,' as well as several doorways and balcony entrances.
