Margaret Brayne sues James and Cuthbert Burbage in Chancery over her share of the Theatre playhouse profits. William Clerke, a plasterer, deposes on the Burbages' behalf 25 February 1592. Clerke affirms he was part of the group of workmen who viewed Burbage's improvements to the Theatre and adjoining properties, and values them at no less than £240.
