Thomas Heywood writes a prologue and epilogue to be spoken by 'A young witty Lad playing the part of Richard the third: at the Red Bull: the Author because hee was interessed in the Play to incourage him[.]' Though the play title is not mentioned, it was probably Heywood's 'Edward IV' and not Shakespeare's 'Richard III.'
