On 10 June 1601 Richard Bagnall deposes in Chancery (in response to Robert Browne's interrogatories in his suit against Oliver Woodliffe, et al.) that he was employed by Woodliffe to carry away the rubbish, but that Woodliffe refused to pay him when the job was done, and directed him instead to Browne for it.
