Cuthbert Burbage sues Giles Allen in Requests court over the Theatre playhouse property. On 31 May 1600 the court of Requests issues an order forbidding Giles Allen from proceeding in his common law suit against Cuthbert Burbage. Allen defies the order, and on 11 June the court orders his arrest.
