Viewing Event Record: Queen Henrietta Maria's Men are granted livery

Abstract

A Lord Chamberlain's warrant records that William Allen and thirteen others (unnamed) of Queen Henrietta Maria's Men are granted livery cloth: four yards apiece of bastard scarlet, and three yards and a half of crimson velvet for capes. It notes that this livery is due them once every two years, and this grant was due at the feast of St Michael the Archangel last past.
