Abstract

On 9 January 1634, George Garrard writes to Lord Wentworth that the privy council order governing coach traffic near the Blackfriars, 'to command all that Resort to the Play-House there to send away their Coaches,' was 'kept very strictly for two or three weeks, but now I think is disordered again.'
